"Myshko and Dzvinka" will take a part in the Kids Kino Industry 2020 in Warsaw

The project of the Ukrainian animated series "Myshko and Dzvinka" will take part in one of the largest European forums specializing in the production of children's content – Kids Kino Industry 2020 in Warsaw (Poland). The event will take place from September 29 to October 2.

It is a platform that provides an opportunity for representatives of the animation industry to share ideas, experiences and develop new projects for children. In particular, it is about providing opportunities to find financing, potential co-producers, distributors, sales agents, broadcasters.

"Myshko and Dzvinka" is an adventure series for children of preschool age. The technique of the series is 2D. It is based on a collection of short stories by the writer Natalia Guzeeva ("Kapitoshka", "How Petryk Piatochkyn counted elephants", "23 insults of Petryk Piatochkyn").

The new season "When the Moon Rises", which was selected for the pitching of Kids Kino Industry 2020, is a continuation of a series of films about the boy Myshko and the Moon girl Dzvinka which was funded by the Ukrainian Film Fund in 2014 and 2016. Screenwriter Anton Bazelinsky and director Lyudmila Tkachykova are working with the author on 12 episodes.

Preparing the presentation of the project for the Kids Kino Industry, studio KAPI received valuable feedback from the experts about a design conception. After that, it has been made a decision to radically change the visual component of the series.



"Yes, our characters have changed a lot. The Cartoon Forum 2020 expert group, which has been advising us for the last few months, pushed us to this decision. We strive to enter the European animation market to make our country visible in it. So we think we have taken a step in the right direction. And we hope that the renewed heroes will be favorably met by both Ukrainian and European audiences", the producer of the studio KAPI Michael Margulis said.


Earlier the project of a series has been selected to the Cartoon Forum 2020 which took place on September 14-17 in Toulouse (France).
